I searched, and the question has sort of been asked, but not really pounded at to get an answer. What kind of scanner fits the 3.4 and where could I get/rent one?

My car stalled at a stop sign last night and has been running ****ty. Very poor acceleration, very poor gas milage, weird noises coming from the back, and the SES light has been going on and off (esp highway driving) for a long time. I need that scanner!!

 

You need an OBDI scan tool. Here's a link to a site that sells Autoxray refurb units at a good price: www.autocheckup.net Be sure to get the one with correct cable. Or, buy one of the fancier ones that will also do OBDII.

 

You just need an OBD-I scanner.
