1le a/c delete or shorter belt

1le a/c delete or shorter belt
do i need the a/c delte pulley, or can i just run a shorter belt to bypass the system, my pulley is frozen and i dont want to have to remove my compressor if i didnt have to, yet dont feel like replacing the clutch on it right now either
