1998 Z28 potential buy...what do you guys think?
What's goin' on fellas(and ladies, too, I presume.) I've been a normal at ThirdGen.org(had an 87 SC 305) and Pontiacs.org(still have a 1979 Trans Am 10th Anniversary, trying to sell.) I've known about this forum for a while but never felt the urge till now.
My friend has a 1998 Z28 6spd. that I might have the chance to purchase later this winter/early spring and I was wondering what you guys thought/suggestions/price/etc. Here's what he's told me about the car and I'll follow it up with a page with pictures.
- trans fluid change on T56 so its good for another 15-20k
- new battery, power window motor over the summer
- NGK plugs and taylor 10mm wires and front brakes not put in yet
- i did fuel filter too recently
- i put in a B&M ripper shifter
- exhaust is all new, with offroad y pipe
- skip shift is gone
- got ram air kit with a new filter (green filter, like K&N)
- panhard rod(aftermarket)
- subframe connectors
- interior and body are mint
- everything works, lights, signals
- working AC
- Monsoon sound system(CD player, 6 speakers)
- power driver's seat
- new dealer replaced windshield
- oil pump is mok or now, but its kinda weak, it makes 40 psi when driving though
- 3.42 stock rear end
- 10k miles on BFG-kdws tires
- 92k someodd miles on car
- garage kept, he's in college, stays at home with his 66 Charger hahaha
Here's his CarDomain site for it.

He's asking $9500 for it. Comments? Thanks in advance.

I guess it's hard to find people to reply to these threads some times. I would say it is worth more like 8k. I have a 97 similar miles / condition. Here is a web quote , I couldn't tell if it had t-tops or not.

He also says the car has welded in BMR SFC's.
I don't know man, just buy his age abd all, I don't see why it would need a full windshild since you can repair cracks. I would check into it a little bit more and see if it's been wrecked hard or anything. Just trying to help.

No more bolt-ons for the time being. I'm a college kid, I won't even be driving the car a lot($2.16 for 93 octane these days, WTF?) right now and I need to save some money as I EMPTIED my bank account(I am gonna owe my mom $250 before I even get to put money in my own damn account haha). In time, though...in time
I'm psyched...Sunday needs to get here.

Ya 7500 isn't a bad price. Seen ones with lower miles go for around the same. As long as your happy, its good that you know who sold it to you though.
