1998 b4c question

So, hello everyone. First of hopefully many continuing conversations here. My question. A buddy of mine is offering me a 1998 B4C 130k miles southern ex pursuit car. Auto. Nice green/blue color. Has everything like a cop car would back in the day. Radio, lights, radar, antennas etc.... in amazing shape cosmetically and great shape mechanically. I can’t seem to find anything to show a decent range of value. What do you guys and gals think is a fair offer?

thank you!!

Re: 1998 b4c question

Welcome to the site!

I have the production numbers for the LT1 cars but not the later 4th gens. The B4C option was relatively rare regardless of the year, so that will add some value. Condition will play a big part as well. There was a 1995 B4C listed on BaT recently that did not meet reserve. The comments might provide some insight into the general thoughts/desirability of these cars, particularly as it sounds like the one you are considering still has the light bar and other police service items. You may also want to check into what you would need to do in order to run the car legally on the streets as requirements for ex-police service vehicles seems to vary from state to state. Ignoring the B4C option I think all 4th gens are great 'bang for the buck' and I don't think you could go too far wrong with any version you buy.
