Question 170 thermostat? Should I buy?

This probaly old news to most, but i got my Jegs catalog today and they have a Be Cool 170 degree LT-1 thermostat for 19.99--Would that be worth the trouble or should just go with the 160. Seems to be the best of both worlds What you guys think? Thanks Dwayne

I see nothing in the sig requiring anything other than a stock t-stat.

I have had no problems with my 160 in NC, and I waited until after the winter to do the TB bypass, but I dont plan on reconnecting it next winter

I never thought a 160 was worth it. If you want to run cool for racing just buy a fan switch and it wont let you go above 180 which is perfect. 20 degrees wont make much of a difference.

Just get the 160* if you need one. Not really worth it without another tune, but it's not gonna hurt an can always be tuned for later.

Either way, unless yours has problems or you just have a feeling that yours is going to have problems soon, you're fine without it. And trust me on that feeling thing.
