Exclamation '02 Z is Overheating! Why?

It started last night while I was waiting at McD's drive thru, the "Check Gauges" light came on. My temp was up to the Red line. I was like oh ****, what do I do. So I pulled over, but coolant wasn't leaking or anything. So I just drove on, since I figured the air coming in will help cool it, and it did bring it down to 210*. Everytime that I would stop for more than like 1min or so, it would go past 210* and unless I started to drive again, it wouldn't stop rising.

At first I thought maybe my fans, but when I got home and turned it off, I could still hear the fan running. So I am thinking that maybe its my thermostat. Am I right?

It did the same thing today on my way to work. Once it gets to 210*, it won't go any lower, only higher.

probably tstat. One thing, dont drive it like that, your gonna cream a head gasket or warp a cylinder head. Park it till you get it fixed.

one time, i was at mickey deez, in the d/t...and my car redlined, check guages came on and i tried driving around to cool it down, but it never got back to normal, only got worse. well, i come to find out when i check the fluid level after it cooled down, that all the coolant had somehow disappeared. so you could check that. lol. or it could be the tstat, either way dont drive it.
