will -10an feed/return be too big?
will -10an feed/return be too big?
OKay I have alot of braided -10an lines and the fittings. I am doing a dual 255 intank setup with an inline -10an filter.
Will this be too big, as in affect my flow at all etc?
I know I will probably have to cycle the pumps twice to fill the lines probably

my thoughts were on a EFI car, you dont need to go that big since fuel line pressure is alot higher than carbs. 7psi carb fuel flow is gonna require alot more fuel line to flow as much as a smaller line at 45psi.
I was thinking i was gonna run a sumped A1000 with 6AN lines to and fro the HSR rails. They are only big enough to use 6an fittings on the rails so 8 to 10an is pointless

well the line i just grabbed the line i have is .450inside diameter? Does this make sence? It is nylon braided line. 450inside diameter but the -6an fitting is .375. I take it when i compress the fitting it will hold fine?
Sorry i mixed up i thought -8 was 3/8s. and -10 was 1/2 I have both -8 and -6 and had them mixed up.

Use -8 on your supply line if you are going to be feeding the engine alcohol, or plan on supplying fuel needs greater than 600RWHP.
Use the -6 on the return side to cut down on weight.
Most applications are just fine with a 3/8 supply and return line, so going with the -8 on the supply side will give you fuel line capacity sufficient for pretty much everything, with exception for pro-stock/blown.
