Well what do you think of these plug wires..

I am getting my new plug wires in tomorrow. and putting them on. I was going to go with the taylor ovc. wires, but didn't like the idea of crimping/putting them together. never done it, and didn't want to screw it up. so I went with the taylor full metal jacket wires. wires covered with aluminum. and boots also covered with aluminum shields. I was worried about the wires arching, but thunderracing said they don't have that kinda problem with these wires. I wanted something to stand up to the heat of my headers.
I already burned up 2 sets of moroso's over a year. only 2 certain plugs, because the boots damn near touch the header. and even had heat sleeves on them. they seem to last about 5 months, and then burn up. so has anyone tried the wires. just wondering how good they are, they cost me $127.00...

Ever thought about shorter plugs?

Did you ever give any thought to getting shorter(external dimension) plugs?????

Accel makes "shorty" header plugs to help give more clearance. Look into P526S or 8198. Not sure which.

Well I never thought of the header accel plugs, Ive seen them at advance auto, but didn't think they would work for our cars.. I got these new plug wires in. and they worked out great. aluminum heat shields on all the boots. and aluminum braided shielding all along the plug wires. no arching at all in the dark.... should last now. maybe better to spend 125.00 for wires and do it once then to go thru a couple of 60-75 buck sets every yr. or two.

thanks for the compliment on the color, It really grew on me. so far I haven't seen one yellow LT1 ta or firebird yet in person..
