My 1995 camaro z28 has a bad miss and lots of black smoke .I pluged in ob2 at auto zone and it read that, So every one says its a ob1 and its only 40 bucks at the zone and i was talking to the person it the store.I said your ob2 sayed it didnt make connection and he but the plug fits perfect in fitting under dash,he says well you do have the ob2 and my computer is broken needs a bank roll to fix? roycontreras8@aol.com

 

'95's are obd1 with an obd2 style DLC port. You need an obd1 scanner with an adapter or you can jumper 2 pins from the scanner to 2 pins in the DLC.

You need to do some diagnostics before trying to guess what the problem is. It could be many things.

Your AZ people apparently don't know anything about a 1995 LT1 f-body (not surprising).
