Question msd coil problems

On my 95' trans am I have a digital 6 plus, msd wires and blaster coil. Yesterday I was driving and the car just died. I bypassed the msd box and ended up getting it going and made it home, I had to keep the rpms up above 1400 or it wanted to die. I get it home let it sit hook the msd box up and wont start. Put a stock coil on and it started right up. Now this was number 5 on msd coils that lasted 1 year to the month and died. Any thoughts?

Re: msd coil problems

When my MSD coil died it was like someone was turning the key off and on. It got progressively worse. Within 10 minutes it was time to call AAA. It was only 1 of 2 times that I did not make it home from a Driving Event.

Changed back the to stock coil and have not had any trouble since.

Stop buying MSD coils....5 failures!!! I've had good luck with my Hypertech coil.
