Fine, as long as they work. Some years ago, there seemed to be a bad batch of them that died premature deaths, but I think that time has passed. I had one that died, but the free replacement has been good for many years now.

97ss 383 - D1 M6. Use a MSD 8202 coil with MSD6 + var. timing control unit. I have not had any problems except for external wire connections. running for 9 years.

Mine was DOA, so I'd suggest getting one locally if you can instead of online. Save yourself the shipping.

lt1le2:
I've used the 8226 for years with no problems. However, even at my low boost, when the pucks on the stock plugs "disappeared" (gap ~.080") sometimes the coil couldn't fire the plugs above 4500 rpm. (I use the Autolite AP-103 plugs gapped at .040" now with no difficulties)

I went through two in 6 weeks...never buying an MSD coil again. It is the parts that leave me stranded somewhere that I choose to stay away from

New GM coil in there now, as it should have been from the start.
