msd 6al and ignition control

Ok so this isnt a camaro... but a pickup... however non computer controlled carbed vehicle.... so like a 78 camaro
posted this on my truck sites but no one has replied... they must not know....

however it doesnt show the ignition control
that is on bottom of pg 15

guess the only concern here is the harness pn 8860 and 8861....
I dont remember wires on the side of the distributor that I could plug into like that......



anyone wanna come wire this thing up for me?

I've got those same parts (except 6a) on my 97SS 383 - D1 Camaro. The MSD triggeres from 1 wire. I don't know if you have a point system or a ECM? One signal (12v) pulse should fire the MSD, and, that drives the coil. In the OBD2 PCM Camaro, there is a single coil module which is triggered by a PCM 5 volt pulse, and, that inturn applies 12v to the MSD 6. The 6al has a Multi spark discharge of 3 pulses @ rpm's inder 3K. Those MSD manuals are very good @ diagrams.
