Mototron 60# injectors

I dont know if this should be in this section or computer tuning!! Mods please move if necessary

So as part of my turbo build i purchased a set of 60# inj from a friend of mine who is parting out his 383 sc camaro. I dont really want to have these injectors sitting around for a month getting gummy and collecting dust.

1)Is there a way to properly store the injectors?

i would like to put them on my mostly stock lt1 this sunday and see how they idle. just to inshure that they wont get gummy etc...

I have seen these injectors sold as
• Siemens FI114961 ( 107961 )
• Mototron INJ-GAS-006 ( L107)
• Accel 74620L
• MSD / Edge 2030

my real question is what sort of injector constant are you guys using for your tune? my reason for asking is because i have seen these exact injectors sold as 60#,63#, and 65#.

Should i go with
• Static Flow Rate @ 43.5PSI ( 300kPa ) w/Gas: 60 lb/hr = 630 cc/min = 453 g/min
• Static Flow Rate @ 87PSI ( 600kPa ) w/Gas: 85.7 lb/hr = 900 cc/min = 648 g/min

on my friends camaro it seemed that tuning them as if they were 63#'s worked well.

obviously i have to mess around with the injector constant a little but i was just wondering if anyone else has any experiance.

Mine ended up as 60.3 or something like that, but it depends on a few things like your fuel pressure and maybe your MAF too. You might also need to adjust your turn on times as well. My FP is usually around stock - 43.5.

I'm kind of curious how to store them too after running them with gas, but on the other hand, I've used injectors that were stored for several years and not had a problem with them. I did use the little plastic caps on them and stored them in a box.

in tunercat, it doesnt allow you to go any higher than 7782 usec at 3.2, 4.8, 5.2, and 5.6 vdc. Whereas, in David Wilsons table you are able to go to 8360. Do you just leave it at the max. allowable value?

Thanks

Eric
