well, she was driving the damn car to work last night, and it just shut off and wouldn't restart. Replaced the opti (delco) last year this time, car has sat all winter, and have only put about 5k miles since opti replacement. Can hear fuel pump energize, car gives an initial split-second fire, then quits, I cannot get it even close to idle, almost acts as if it is was flooded. I remeber when the opti failed (last year), it was because the rotor was melted, maybe I'll crack this one open?

I would check your fuel pressure at the fuel rail and also for spark before removing the opti.
