Injectors

I just put 42 lb Ford SVO injectors in my fuel rail and they did not have the same groove as the stock injectors (not sure if this is the same problem you are seeing).

I just took a hacksaw blade and made my own new grooves in the plastic outer body of the injector to accept the stock clip. I have not run it yet but I am fairly sure it will work fine. You may want to do a search on this to confirm but I think some guys go without the clips and just hold the injectors in place in the manifold with the four bolts that hold the fuel rail to the manifold.

Good luck.

I'm using a set of 30 lb SVO's without clips. I've been running them like that for years without any problems.

The cluips are used to make installation easier, once the injectors are in they serve no purpose.

I have the 30# SVT injectors and the clips worked fine.

If I remember correctly, there's one groove they work in on those, and they might be a little higher or lower than stock, but it works.
