Help with Accel AFPR

i searched here, i called Accel , which is now owned by Mr Gasket and SAT on hold. I went to their website, i couldn't find anything. I submitted a tech question through e mail. they sent me an e mail back asking to call with a reference ticket, which i did, sit on hold sit on hold. I tried calling at different times of the day. It's ridiculous, their customer support is horrible! I FINALLY got a guy to take my call, and he told me that i needed to call a different # for DFI. i said... this isn't part of a DFI system! well for some stupid reason their DFI department handles it. He was quick to pawn me off on someone else and give me their # instead of try to help. So i called that #, they're on training until the 25th.

OBVIOUSLY NO ONE IN THEIR ENTIRE COMPANY KNOWS HOW TO INSTALL THIS PART

Can anyone help? it's a clamshell style AFPR from accel for Lt1, and it LOOKS like i have to dismantle my original FPR and bolt this one up to it somehow. I just don't want to ruin mine to find out i was wrong.

Has anyone here installed one of these before? i'm ready to chuck it and and get a complete one from aeromotive.

Yes, you use parts of your old regulator. If I remember correctly, You have to grind around the outside of the crimp and it comes apart, then you use the new parts to put it back together.

I had one from Crane Cam--it sucked and the BBK didn't look any better.

I got the adjustable aluminum one from Holley. Not only does it look good it is easy to adjust the way it is built. I don't know if it will work on your LT1 as I did have to grind down the upper intake on my TPI to make it fit, but it is over 4yrs installed with no problems
