Fuel lines

when i was over at my friends he cut his plastic fuel lines that run in to his fuelpressure regulator. My question is can we still hook those up to the regulator with them being cut like that. he was doing the head gasket thats why. he was lazy and cut the lines. could i reconnect them and put clamps on them

There's only one line that goes to the FPR. The other one goes to the passenger side fuel rail. You can get a replacement set of lines for less than $20. Much safer than trying to piece them together. Check Shoebox's parts list.

I guess your friend likes to waste money and make extra work for himself. The tool to remove them is ~$5. The factory manual says to replace the lines if there is ever any damage.

I know there are plastic fuel line repair kits at the friendly NAPA store here but do not know if they have them for that particular size. The one I bought was to splice into a section after the fuel filter on another model of car. It worked perfectly but cost about $20.
