Fuel fill cutoff / leaks

I had a shop do a fuel pump install for me, along with some other stuff, and have had a fuel leak since then.

It first happens when I fill up, but then seems to slowly leak as I drive the car. I can see fuel on the bottom of the t-top well underneath the car, and when I finish a fill-up, can clearly see it dripping from the same area.

How does the cutoff work when filling up the tank at a gas station? When the pump automatically stops when the tank is full, how does that work? Could there be anything related to a fuel pump install that would cause that cutoff to be later than normal, causing the tank to overflow somewhere?

I can't tell exactly where the fuel is coming from, so I'm hoping someone here will know the route the fuel takes from the filler hole to the tank.

What parts could be causing the leak, from a normal fuel pump install (dropping the tank)?

The shop denies they did anything to cause a leak and said they couldn't find one, but it's clear that it's leaking (both visibly and smell-wise). And it wasn't doing it before the install, so I know it's related to the FP install. I'd like to be able to give them some ideas when I get back to them for the second time (another long story).

Thanks in advance for any help!

Thats what it sounds like I have a crack in my camaro fill tube. It only leaks when the tank is over 3/4. Your tank may have a bigger crack and leaks when you turn till tanks almost empty. A radiator repair shop should be able to fix it.
