Question car won't take gas... any ideas?

i have a 98 z28 i've had for 8 years... went to go fill it up the other day and the pump clicks immediately maybe a second or two after i start.. ive tried fast slow and even putting gas into a plastic gas can and filling it up but the gas just climbs up the neck and very slowly trickles down into the tank. i ran a copper tube down the fuel neck to make sure there wasn't some kind of blockage but it ran down into the tank fine... i put a compressed air pump on the fuel vent hose and gas blew out of the filler neck... comes out fast and goes in slow haha i'm out of ideas any help would be great! it's my first post here too

It's the gas station.Did you try another island?Bet that is what is the problem. It is common sometimes you have to hold the rubber thing back on the nozzle.Hope this helps.
