94 LT1 Optispark recomendation

Hey all! New member here. I realize the optispark has probably been pretty well covered on here, but I am looking for current recommendations for a replacement opti. My son has a 94 z28 (his first build) He built a lt1 stroker motor but used the original opti that was on it. Well, the opti finally took a dump. we have been researching new ones and come across so many different takes on manufacturers. A lot of people swear by only the gm with the Mitsubishi sensor in it but they have been increasingly hard to find it seems. pretty much coming across a bunch of outdated info on reputable people rebuilding them so if anybody has thoughts on good ones to get, it would be much appreciated.

Or 24x swap with Torqhead. Torque head will cost more, but the Opti will be replaced with current tech, coil per cylinder and an LS pcm.

+1 for Petris. That's what I used the last time I replaced mine and it looked like a quality piece. Quite frankly, I agree with Drew though. I'm thinking about freshening up my engine next year and I think I'll do the Torqhead conversion for the reasons Drew stated.
