YS-trim guys please chime in...

Ok... I've ordered my YSi trim and everything is starting to get here...

I have a few questions regarding brackets.. pulleys and dampers..

I talked to Chris Zikora about his bracker.. and I really like it.. its very very strong and a lot thicker than the S-trim bracket... the downside is that I have to rotate the supercharger down to be able to use it. Now that is not what I have in mind since I want it to go up or down depending on whatever I use to cool down the charge...

Now the other option for bracket is madman.. madman charges me $200 bucks for it.. Which is too much just to mill with a milling machine here and there... I can do that locally here anyways and I save on shipping also...

Chris also tells me to not use the stock balancer.. as its not a good option when you are making serious power. I did a search for the ati superdamper and i am hearing horror stories of breaking keyways and at some point read that the stocker didn't break. I do not want to run into problems for the power. I want this to be "reliable", so I want to do it correctly the first time. Period. I also heard that ati came with a different version for the hub which is more rugged. And another version that madmax has a hub that is pretty darn big and can have deeper keyways, but I would have to machine down the timing cover a bit, not a problem anyways...

I also want to steup up to a 7.4" crank pulley and I see that I have to order this after i get whichever damper im getting so ASP can make it right and it all fits...

I've had absolutely NO problems at all with the stocker hub or balancer till 600rwhp... my engine is internally balanced and all neutrally balanced

Can someone please point me in the right direction here? Im not exactly sure what should I do.

Call Peter at 303-438-1571. He will build you a bracket. Use an ATI damper.

Chris has a quality and reliable setup that makes probably about 900rwhp right now.

I am running an ATI Dampner from Vortech.

Im running the stock dampner with my setup. Until I can find someone that makes a dampner that will bolt to the stock hub, I will sick to what has been proven for the last 10 years.

If you wear that meshback baseball cap with your $8 sunglasses sitting on top of the visor I'll see you.
