Will my engine last long with this set-up??

I have a 94 camaro z28m6 with all the bolt ons. I have the lt4 hot cam, stock heads, with 1:6 rockers. I'm putting a 8psi procharger on it next summer. I drive the car only 4 months. Maybee 7k a summer. I hardly drive the car becuase it's in great condition. Like a show car. The engine has about 7k on the rebuild. Should I be okay. How many miles should I get away with. Also it depends on how much you get on it correct. That is what kills your engine everytime you abuse it correct??

It is impossible to guess how long the motor will hold up. Some last forever, even if you beat the hell out of them, some will blow up half an hour after you put it together even if you ***** it around. It all comes down to the tune and making sure you use good fuel.

I agree, it's all in the tune up but even with a great tune **** happens.
I had mine tuned by Shalin Patel and 16K later..... BOOM but I beat the hell out of it and enjoyed every minute of it.

If you're not going to beat the **** out of it then why go through the hassle of putting a blower on the car and going through the learning curve with it?

S/C cars are not set em and forget em type of cars......

When you said you had it rebuilt, what did you do for a rebuild? If you used Hypernuetic (or however the hell you spell it) pistons and kept the stock compression you did nothing to help your cause.

Marc
P.S. Oh and one more thing, drive the car as it's not a collector car

Save yourself the time and learning curve, build the blower motor now, this way it won't be a surprise. Entirely forged bottom, stainless on top.........come to think of it, this also describes my wife!
