Will a 93-97 D-1 work on a LS1???

Just wondering what it would take to hook up a 94-97 ATI D-1 to a 2001 WS6 ??? Any information is appreciated. I just want to make sure the bracket for a 2001 will bolt up to the 94-97 Head unit....Thanks

The blower shouldl work but needs a whole different set of brackets. If I remember correctly the LT1 setup is "reverse" of the Ls1 setup, but I am not 100%. The best best is to call ATI and see what they can do for you. It doesn't hurt to call. Their customer service has gotten alot better. Good luck.

Yes the LS1 blower mounts the opposite way, but that also requires it to rotate the opposite way. Therefore it will not work.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but hopefully you didn't spend money on it yet.

No it was free Took it off the 94 Trying to sell it, thought we would slap it on the LS1 but that isn't going to happen now Will have to wait and find a cheaper LS1 Kit

Mounting the blower on the opposite side won't require it to spin the opposite direction. The crank pulley will be rotating the same direction regardless of which side the blower is mounted on.

This is like saying you couldn't mount the alternator on the other side of the motor because it would be turning the wrong way. The side it is mounted on doesn't matter. Think about it.

Here is a quick drawing:

I guess 97bowtie does not know who Lonnie Pavtis is

I have no idea about LS1 blowers but I SUSPECT what Lonnie is suggesting is not that the blower is on the other side of the block but that the blower is reversed front to back, not side to side.

That makes much more sense. That is my misunderstanding.
