Where will it spool at?

Alright need to know where about a T88 would spool on a stock cammed stock displacement LT1. Me and a buddy of mine where having a debate about it....full boost would be 7-9lbs on stock motor. Let me know what you guys think.

Jose, how many psi can you run with a T-76GTS on a 363 cid engine, AFR 210 heads, 224/236 cam, at, say, 6300 rpm? Where will the compressor stone-wall?

If 7 -9 psi is all you are going to run a T88 is way too big... get something a lot smaller and it will spool up a lot quicker. If you are going to run 25psi in the future maybe go ahead and get it and upgrade the engine later.

Re: Where will it spool at?

The 88 is not worth the extra headaches. A good 76 will support 1150 - 1200, while an 88 will only go to 1250 hp. This is because the small T4 exhaust side is reaching its limit. Jose had a 76 on a 355 making 987 rwhp and switched to an 88 and gained less than 20 rwhp along with later spool and less peak torque. Step up to a T6 and only a 91 mm and you get 1550 hp.

I had been looking at the GT-42 76T a little bit but just didnt much care for the A/R advertised on it...im sure they have more options on it. Could you guys give me a few sites where a coule place to pick up a T76 would be?

Driveablility is excellent. Since it doesn't spool till around 3500rpm during normal driving you would not even know the turbo is there. You can't hear it or feel it and is quiet. Start giving it a little more throttle or holding it in gear and it will start to spool up a little and blow off air during shifts. When you decide to get on it all hell will break loose. With any high HP car the more you torture it the more frequent something will break.

The best T76's come from Jose at ForcedInductions (JZ 97 SS 1500 above).

Most we have gotten is a spike to 23-24psi. Will only sustain around 20-21 though.

The 42-76 with a 1.01 is a Divided Tang V. So it equivalent to a .91 undivided or so. That is with a T4 flange.

I drive my car with a 76mm. It's an HKS T51R SPL, not a T-76, but it's similar.
