Where to put the driver side O2?

I saw another post about someone getting lean readings because of the O2 in the down pipe. On my log setup im basicly routing the passanger side crossover into the back of the driver log. all the exhaust is collected and sent to the turbo. there is no way to seperate the driver side from the passanger side.. I was also plannign on putting my wideband in the down pipe about 16-18" from the turbo.... any ideas on how to get the driver side O2 to see an acuracte picture of whats going on?

Still stock pcm and all of that?

Because its a ratio, it wont "hurt" to have it in your driver side log. But yes it could throw off your readings. Assume a strange case where your pass side is rich, driver is lean. Since its mixing the two your pass will probably show rich, and your driver @ normal (assuming they are off the same amounts).

Honsetly though unless you have a bad injector or a misfire they should be pretty darn close to each other. In the end you are tuning to your wideband anyways. If closed loop gives you trouble just turn it off and tune it open loop.

I am running a standalone, but I run my computer just from my wide band. I run closed loop based off of it. So at low engine speeds I am sure its not perfect because its so far away from the heads, but its good enough.

Remember, A/F is a ratio, not a messure of quantity. So unless there is a huge split between the banks it "SHOULD" read and work fine.

I just got my car running. I have a single narrow band in the down pipe running to both left and right o2 sensor inputs. Havent started tuning the car yet. but i can tell you that it is showing lean(blm running at or just below 160). I havent run ve master or tuned in any way besides turning the idle up a little. I will report my findings when i get a chance to tune it.

will running the car like this show false lean conditions? I cant imagine it would since plenty of people tune off of a single wideband placed in the downpipe.

edit: it is pretty cool to see the o2 sensor readings and integrators so close to one another. NO split BLMS for this guy lmao
