Where to go for forged bottom end?

Looking into either going to with a forged kit or piece by piece setup? im running a single turbo t-68 lt1 and need to forge the bottom end. I will also get some ported heads intake etc but havet really heard any success for forged kits. Im not to sure if i want to go to a 355 or 383 since i feel i might lose to much driveability and isnt worth it? could be wrong? Overall just looking to see whats recommended and where to go.

Goals- dont really have any, some a street beast i guess

Might be used a daily driver in the summer if that matters at all.

going with a 383 would be better for the street. It'll give you more low down torque to make up for the turbo lag and low compression.

As for where to get a fully forged bottom end, try to stay away from ebay.

They have a decent line-up of parts and are very well priced! They even give you some options with the kits that are very cheap!

I'd go with Victory Racing Engines.

They're a site sponsor, and will have the best customer service you'll find.

Their prices are also very good.

Give them a call or drop them an email.

I can only see about a $200 difference.

For that little of a price difference, I'd go with a place that I know and trust. I can count on them to support me after the sale as well.

Plus, VRE is a board sponsor and runs periodic sales here that could help get the price lower depending on when and/or what you order.

Id talk to Eric over at Victory, they did my 355, and needless to say, for what it is, it does extremely well. He'll work with ya on the price I bet, plus, he can get pretty much any other parts youre looking for at good prices to add to the combo.

So whats usually the waiting period from time it's ordered till it's sitting on your front door? Give me a holler when you have time... I just might place an order today. Also how much boost can a stock crank hold? I'm sure my P600B wouldn't be no harm. But I have a TNT wet kit (75-100-150 shot) I'm thinking of putting on as well...

No price discount but let me tell you he is quick to response. I sent him a pm with my phone # and about a minute later he called me. Discussed a few different options and gave me some info on a few things. Needless to say I ordered my forged 355 kit from him.... Great man to deal with. Will go with him again if I decide on getting anything else...

man... instead of having mine rebuilt again, I just might have to call VRE. Does any one else have any input on them?

My current setup is listed in my sig.
