Whats my S/C Z worth??

See sig, car has 47K on it. The rings are blown, the car still runs and goes though. I'm getting fed up with it and the wife said, "get a new one!". I need a decent value to sell the car for. Thx Mike. Apprx. 2000 miles on the procharger. P1-SC w/ 2 core.

Unless you plan on parting it out, you're gonna loose out big-time on all the mods you put into it, unless you happen to get lucky and find the right buyer. Not many people want to buy a car when they'll have to rebuild the motor, nor could get financed on a 95 for how much you would want out of it.

I'd have another talk with the wife, go for a cheap rebuild, crank up the boost and never look back.

Well, for everything else there is Mastercard, but I can't find anyone to accept one. They all want cash for a motor rebuild.

I had someone offer me $5000. I don't know.

I would say around 6000-7000 would be a ok price. Or you can throw in a another motor in it and sell it for 9000-9500.

Keep the car bro.....Everything isnt alway peaches and cream especially when dealing with force induction. Learn from your mistakes and replace and rebuild. You can do it!

If you are already tired of it I would throw a used short block in it, take the blower off and sell both seperate. There is never "I'll be done with it" once you get going Next thing will be your tranny to go... then your talking $1000-$2000. I wish I would have gotten out a long time ago sometimes but, I keep saying this should be the last thing I have to do

I'm selling mine. I'm sick of working on cars and not driving them. C5 here I come.

Why did you supercharge it man. You get a blower and you MUST be prepared for a rebuild because it could blow at any time. I mean I'm sure there was plenty of warning and I know you, I have seen your posts, you knew the risk. Now all you gotta do is follow through with a new engine. Or you could sell me your intercooler But yea I'd rather see you back with a better engine and more boost.

A rebuild woudn't be a big deal if...

A) the install took LESS than 6 months (used kit, missing pieces, relcated intercooler, no place to work on it, etc.)

B) I hadn't bought a used blower for $1800 then sent it to ATI for a fitting and get a $500 minor rebuild bill for it.

C) the supercharger "kit" contained all of the necessary things to make the car run safe (injectors, ignition, BTM, boost gauge, etc.)

Blower cars are too much work/money for me. I guess I'm getting old.

I agree.
It's never over.

Everything snowballs. The motor rebuild cost twice what I was expecting, then there's the rear end, retuning, fuel system, ect.
Just ditch it. You're already getting fed up with it. A motor rebuild and all the headaches that go with it is not exacly my idea of a good time anyway. Bend over, grab your ankles, take the $5,000 and be done with it. Go get something you enjoy.

AFTER my rebuild, I thought I was "done" too. Figured my car was "fixed". That was last summer. I've spent another $3,500 in mods since then just to keep this thing on the road.

It's NEVER over.

This is suppose to be a hobby we enjoy.
When it's not fun anymore, it's time to call it quits.
No shame in that.
Best of luck.

Pull the supercharger and as many of the aftermarket parts you can and sell them all on ebay. Then just sell the car. You'll get the most money this way and then go buy something else.

Cars are expensive.. I still need about 1K just to put my 93 back together and I pretty much have every major part I need (engine/transmission/supercharger setup/fuel system/dfi/suspension/etc..) Little stuff like gaskets/plugs/wires/paint/bolts/sending parts/tuning for service/etc.. really add up.

I swear I've had more fun modifying my Grand Prix because all I am doing is small bolt ons and I can drive the car every day.

If I get rid of it, I'm going to get something else(LS1) and probably run spray. I cant win! My addiction to modding is killing me!
