What should I run in 1/4 with this set-up Predications anybody
In the spring I'm having a 355 built up for my 94 camaro z28. 12 bolt with 4:10 gears, street slicks a procharger 14pounds of boost. Nice cnc heads, blower cam, m6, shorty elderbrock headers,58 throttle body
Re: What should I run in 1/4 with this set-up Predications anybody
what procharger? 14psi doesnt help us out much cause the "14psi" pulley setup will probably prove to be much less with heads/cam more displacement, and as i have said before, its all about airflow. what compression ratio? flow numbers on the heads? specs on the cam? can you drive? why would you use shorty headers?!
Re: What should I run in 1/4 with this set-up Predications anybody
Well I wanted long tube heads but I got a killer deal on Edlebrock Shortys. Brand new in box for $200.00. I figured shortys are better then the stock manifolds. As far as the procharger I'm leaning towards to the P1SC. - I like that kit because you dont have to tap any holes in your oil pan. What are some disanvatages about that model??? Also as far as the heads I leaning towards a set of AFR.

I'm guessing (from seeing other experiences on the board) that your setup with ported stockers and blower cam and that much boost should put you in the 600rwhp range (give or take 100, lol). Should be enough for easy 10s at 125 or higher.
With all the added torque the blower will give, you might want to consider ~3.73 rear gear. You'll want to stay in each gear as long as you can (within reasonable limits of course.... 2.73 won't cut it for sure). And you'll most likely have to shift into 5th before the traps since 4.10s will run you shy of 115mph at 6k rpm.. maybe 4-5mph higher with larger tires. With stock tires i have to shift 4-5 at 115mph/6k rpm with 3.73s (tach indicated, might be off some).
Just some suggestions
