What should I do?

I found an LT1 Vette block for $350, but would require for me to pay shipping to get it here... Its a 4 bolt main cap block.

I also have an LT1 block thats a 2 bolt main, and have some PG main caps here.

I want the block to be able to handle 800 rwhp or so

Should I spend the extra money to have the 2 bolt block converted or go with the LT1 4 bolt block? It costs $350 for labor and the caps were $100.

If you've already got the caps, I'd say install them. Exactly what kind of caps are they material wise anyway?

Have splayed main caps installed on the LT1 block. It will be stronger than the LT4 block. The LT4 block will handle alot but just only $450 you won't have to worry if you've done the right thing

800rwhp is alot of power, you don't want to take any shortcuts with the block

I agree. The splayed should hold more. You'll want to go forged on everything else, as well... 350 labor for the splayed caps seems a little high if your having the rest of the block machined at the same time.
