What pulleys max out a 600b??
What the most anyone has seen out of a 600b? I am right in the middle of building a fully forged 383 and need to make sure my little 600b can put out as much as possible.
I know at this point my blower will be the part holding me back, but I would like to know what pulleys I should get to make max boost with it. I don't plan on turning the motor past 6200 rpm. Anyone have some ideas??

I'd like to see the answer to this also. I PM'd Mark w/ATI with similar questions several days ago, but got no answer.
What pulley are you running right now that only gets you 5#'s? Or is it the head/cam combo that's getting more air through the engine?

The problem with the trying to spin the p600b to max is going to be belt slip. I had a 2.65" pulley on a 383 as well. It never made more than 5-6#'s. I tried tightening belt, tire "grip," etc. Boost would just spike then stay steady or fall off.
I have since switched to a d1sc- much better match to 383

Belt slippage will also depend on the number of ribs your pulleys are. Another option is to use a different tensioner like the SD Concepts one. It should improve belt traction. But, the D1 is still the preferred setup for a 383.
Any way, I didn't have any problems with the 2.95" pulley, which is about max for an 6 rib P600b, I hear. It gives 10lbs boost on a stock LT1.

Re: What pulleys max out a 600b??
I have a 3 inch that I made 10 lbs on on my stock motor, that was a 8 rib set up, I also have a 2.75 thats rated at 12 and I have a 12 rib 2.55 thats rated at 15 lbs, it all comes down to your cam if you have a big blower cam with a lot of exhust you could put the 12 lb pully on there and barly see 6-7 lbs, with talking to guys even if I put the 15 lb pully on mine and take the blower up to its redline that would be somewhere around 6000 RPM on the motor Im probable only going to see maybe 8 lbs on mine with the blower sence I have a 224/236 114 LSA cam, if I would have went with a 224/230 I could have probably seen 8-9 lbs with it, but I plan on getting a D1 down the road and Im going to run this one till I get the cash for it.

Yeah, I have the same duration cam with 502-520 lift. I know I won't see that much boost- esp. when I put the forged 383 under it. I was more looking for what pulley sizes are used to max the rpm of the blower, or maybe just barely over to make the best use of the little 600b until I can swing getting a D1..
