I like using the NGK TR6 gapped at .35

I would also suggest a MSD 6A ignition box if you dont have one already.

Thanks,
Claude

TR-6. I usually gap mine at .40 If you don't already have a box, a BTM would be more useful than a 6A.

I just started using them, I think my car is much smoother, and easier to start now.

I am running mine at .032. Are you seeing any benefit with running that much gap?

Its a little early to tell, I installed them a few days ago and started the car for the first time in about 3months and just drove it around the block. Its been to cold and icy here to drive, I cant let ya know till this weekend I hope. PLS NO MORE SNOW!

I gaped my tr6's at the same gap, after 3000 miles the gapes where at .42-.45 area and the car still ran good.

What if any difference should there be in .32 gap to a .38 besides heat?

Bill

I'm using 104's gapped at between 32-35

It's hard to bend that stupid prong equally every time.

I'm running TR6s...

As far as the paxton goes, how are you planning on running long tubes? Just asking because I went through that about 6 months ago. No headers (shorties or long tubes) will work with the paxton due to the location of tubing.

I tried just about everything to get the paxton tubing around the headers to no avail. Finally, I created a new #1 slip-fit primary for a set of Jet-Hot long tubes using a 1 3/4" exhaust donut, some straight tubing, and a homemade flange. It should flow the same, but the new #1 is slightly longer than the original. If it wasn't forced induction, I'd be afraid of the added length messing with the pulses for scavenging...

Anyway, here's a pic of how I routed the exhaust around the paxton intake tubing. Good luck with your project.

Good to hear. What size primaries and how close was the intake tubing to the header? I have 1/4" of clearnace at most with a 1 3/4" primary.

The TR6s are not iridium, although I think NGK sells an iridium version of the TR6.
