Question What head upgrades are needed?

What parts do I need to upgrade in a set of aftermarket LT1 heads. As of today I will be using the Dart 180's. I will be running a D1SC intercooled with 14-16lbs on a 383. I want to make sure that I have no issues, but do not want several hundred $ of overkill. Thanks

well, are you getting them off the shelf, or ported by somebody? To maximize power, you will want them ported.

Also, make sure to have low enough compression

Reamo04, thanks for the reply.

I guess I should be more clearer. Should items such as springs, locks, stem guides, rockers, or the moving parts be upgraded for boost?
\Thanks!

You just have to overdue the springs a little for the extra boost that's going to be in the manifold pushing against them. My new turbo cam is only .577 lift, but I have springs that are good to .650.

You need more seat pressure for the valve (installed height will affect how much seat pressure there is).
