What kind of mph or horsepower does it takes to run 10's in the quarter.
I went to the track a week ago and run times of 12.70@115 spinning regular street nittos not DR's with no traction @ all. My 60ft time was a 2.30 which goes with out saying why it was so poor. I have a set of Street ET's 26x16x10.5 will i be able to reach my goal.

My mods are as follows
P-1sc with 15lbs pulley showing 10psi
383 with 6"rods all Lunati steel rods and crank and pistons!
Ported TrickFlow heads
Ported Intake
Comp Cam 224/236 530/550 with 1.6 rr's
FLP's Longtube headers
57's Racetronix injectors with wireharness and fuel pump.
Borla Exhaust
12 bolt Strange rear

 

You need to strap that thing on the dyno. You should be easily running that time without the blower.

 

we did 10,98 widh a 383 ported stock heads, 220-230 0,544" cam, twin IC, 12-13 psi from a maxed out P1sc, 1 5/8 hooker shorties and a slipping 4l60e (had to let of the gas for 2->3 shift) .
Widh a alright tranny i guess it should made 10.8-.9

Thats what i was thinking. I trapped 121 MPH with a 355,stock heads,218/230 cam,LT hookers,true duals and a little p600b reading 8psi on the gauge..

 

im no forced induct xpert...


but a cam/bolt on 383 should be getting those same times/traction

Before you worry about your engine too much, and this assumes it's running at least in the vicinity of properly; you may want to put some time into sorting out your chassis. My experience has been that there is more ET trapped between the flywheel and the lug nuts than most folks are aware of.

 

Definetly work on that chassis. There is alot to be gained with chassis tuning. That combo should be preety damn impressive when you get it sorted out.
