I am interested in how your timing transitions from 70kpa - 100kpa. Mine drops off significantly.

Your timing drops significantly in non-boost situations?

yeah, especially from 90-100kpa, but I am interested in 70-100kap. Since we cannot account for boost, the timing in the 100kpa is used for all boost levels. I am just looking to see 70kpa-100kpa though to compare my mailorder tune (so i can tweak it on the dyno).

hm. I left the tables stock on my stock motor, and only pulled timing in the last cell for teh boost.

My timing tables and PE tables are almost stock. I pull timing with a MSD BTM. I add methanol based on the 2 bar MAP sensor that the alkycontrol kit comes with. I would recommend reducing the "throttle position for WOT" to 20% so it will go into PE mode a little earlier.

I'd be interested to see the stock tables (I don't have a copy). i would think you have a big drop off between the 95 kpa to 100kpa cells then right?

cool. What timing are you running in your 100kpa cell?

So im assuming this is what your timing tables look like, and than the btm pulls 15* on TOP of this? Just curious. Eric L

Your are correct and I'm sold on this way of tuning. The MSDBTM box is expensive but worth it. I get 2 bar timing control, stronger spark, and a soft rev limiter all in one box.

Just to be clear, pulling timing in the 100KPA is a perfectly acceptable way of tuning. You will just loose a small amount of power in the low boost areas.

I slowly dropped mine off from 80-100kpa when I was 1 bar, I don't have a copy of my old tune anymore, but I ramped down to 10 at 100kpa. I still can't believe you guys run 26 degrees(in the tune, so 30 after adding the 4 degrees) on a boosted car and pump gas.

Yeah, mine is at 26 degrees in the 100kpa cell.

That is good for power, as long as you don't detonate, I gained 60rwhp going from 14 degrees to 21 degrees on the dyno.
