What do you think of this kit??
What do you think of this kit??
I was looking into getting this kit:
http://turbotechnologyinc.com/ls1.htm
I emailed them and this is what they told me:
We offer two stages so far, The first being the 60-1 hifi kit that on a stock motor will generate over 375 rwhp at the low boost setting of 5 to 6 psi. It is able to make up to 450 rwhp but engine and pcm tuning is needed.
The other is our T76 upgrade and we've seen over 500 rwhp with pcm and fuel system upgrades.
We are just finishing our single race kit for the ls1 and should be available late January we're looking for over 700 rwhp. The race kit is designed after our 5.0 Mustang kit witch has seen over 800 rwhp.
What do you guys think?? I was looking at the 60-1 hifi kit since I have an internally stock LS1 and I was under the impression after checking out on the boards that 5-6 psi should be fine.
Anyone have experience with them or their kits???
Thanks

Yep had their LT1 single kit, and I'm glad it's gone. It would be OK if all your looking for is 100 hp out of it, but when you try and push it you run into problems. The tubing is way small and leads to excessive backpressure. If their race kit rids the log manifold, or significantly adds to the size of it and the rest of the piping it may be a viable kit. I would shoot for that kit, and then keep the boost down on your stock motor. You WILL want more later, trust me!
