what are the cons/pros of self contained vs tapped engine superchargers

I am looking at getting the Ati 8# charger system sometime in the future when my money tree blooms, so I'm wondering if there is any advantage of paying extra for the self contained oil type over their original unit. I know with tapped oil from the engine you must change oil much sooner. How many miles before you must change the self contained, and what is the price of the oil? Also does the newer unit have any other advantages like an upgrade to a larger pulley. Once my engine needs a rebuild I plan on moving up to a 12# pulley, so will I be better off buying the better unit now in preperation for more boost?

If you do a search you will find alot of useful info. My vote would be go with a self contained. With a self contained kit you will have to change your oil after 500 miles for the first oil change. After that you change it every 6000 miles.
