What can I do to stop the plastic pipe on my Vortech from popping off?

The plastic elbow that goes between the supercharger and the intake keeps popping off under boost. I've got the thing clamped down like a somnab!tch, yet it still pops off from time to time. Would making a metal piece to replace this help? Would the metal piece that comes with the Powerdyne kits work for this? It is a Vortech T-trim. Any input is appreciated.

Already have two clamps on it, and the hose barely fits over the damn thing as it is, unfortunately. What I am finding is that the plastic is colapsing too much. I may have a metal piece made up, but what I am really curious is if the Powerdyne unit would work as it's premade.

assuming you ahve tried cleaning the tube very welll..

the next step(s)

clean it well again

use hair spray! quickly put the hose on before it dries.. then use a t-bolt clamp.. it shouldn't come off

I had the same problem for months. I ended up using a longer section of turbo hose to hold the pieces together and it worked great. I haven't had the problem again. It just needs to be about 1-1 1/2 inches longer.

Trust me T-bolt clamps is the answer. You can pick them up at Ramchargers.
