At what boost level is O-ringing the block neccessary?

At what boost level is O-ringing the block neccessary?

Will it be ok to run up to 15#'s of boost without O-ringing and reciever grooving the heads? What boost level are you guys running without any modification to the block? Thanks for the info.......The D1 will be a lot of fun on the 383

IMHO, you don't need to o-ring for 15#. I ran 15-17# with felpro gaskets and ARP bolts and never had a problem. I did start lifting the heads when we upped the boost over 20#...

would you guys recomend head studs? That is great that you can run so much boost on a fel-pro gasket. What was your compression ratio when you ran that much boost?
