Aeromotive pumps are LOUD, and sometimes not very reliable. Weldon are top notch, so are barry grant, but they aren't as cheap.

Bowtie,

Me, Rob and Dean all are using the Weldon pumps. I know me and Rob are also using 2 of the Weldon fuel filters of different micron's. One before the pump and one after. They are not the quietest pumps but are surposed to be the best.We also have the Weldon fuel pressure regulators.

Plus they are mounted outside of the tank so if there is ever a problem you don't need to pull the tank and exhaust back down.I know Marc had a problem with one of his dual intanks going and had to pull it back down.

good luck
John

>WoW !!! your still alive ... .
Hi John ,
I kind of figured that it's a little loud , but with the exhaust and supercharger I guess it's all relative .
I will probably go with the King Sumo or King Enduro , but whats the difference ?

Sumo is for fuel injected applications, Enduro is for carbs.

Another company you may want to look into is Product Engineering. I'm giving them a try. They seem to make a very solid pump, and I've heard that they can support a lot. They're also designed for continuous duty so they won't overheat and don't need a voltage controller.

I've got a Weldon 2035, Dial-A-Flow and AFPR on my car. I've heard the Weldons and if you think A-motive's are loud....

The Weldons are also very large.

I have the Weldon pump, I have no cats and long tube headers and that pump is louder than the exhaust.

But it does its job, and its outside the tank and if it ever goes bad I don't have to drop the exhaust and rearend.

I have a Weldon 2025 pump and a Weldon regulator.

I also have a Weldon voltage stepdown box to use. A Dialaflow. Will make the pump not run as hard when I am not racing... Will quiet it down too.

Does anyone have any experience with running a Weldon with the controller box in a continuous use situation (daily driver or at least weekend street car)? Just wondering how they hold up.

And if anyone is worried about dropping the rear, exhaust and tank for pump maintenance, please save yourself some time by just cutting an access panel from inside.

I'm kinda up in the air on weather I wanna go dual intank, or just get it over with and go external.

Might want to talk with Brady (Brady96Z) about it. He Long Hauled on Power Tour with his TT car last year and it had either a 2025 or a 2035.

Mine will see all kinds of street time, just at short intervals, right around 9-10 seconds.

I've used Aeromotive pumps for awhile without fault. I'd say atleast 20 or so in race and marine applications without failure. I've heard on the net some folks have had issues but, I don't think it's a severe problem. Half I would suggest, probably don't run a pre-filter. As I understand they've upgraded the epoxy used to mount the magnets and have had very good luck.

The Weldon pump is very nice. I've seen a 2025 fail in a continuous duty application without the controller.

The Barry grant king sumo pump is junk. Don't waste your money or your time with it. My BGKS just broke, again, for the fifth time in less than 1 year. I think after the 2nd pump BG suggested that I buy the step down box, so I did, and at the low voltage setting the pump doesn't turn fast enough to even make pressure with the engine running. My system is plumbed, and wired perfectly. Half the time the berring retainging ring breaks, and then the pump is louder than my exhaust (no cats & Hooker LT's). The other half simply had bad electric motors and would blow fueses in minutes ( in the most recent case 2 sec). I am more than a little frustrated with this pump it was a very expensive total failure. However I can say that the guy at BG was helpful and concerned, they also sent me 5 brand new pumps for free (exchanged that is) I guess they where doing R&D on my failed units. Which is all nice and everything, but my car never runs. I decided to buy the weldon kit that was shown in a previous post. I just hope that for $1,300.00 this pump won't leave me stranded like the POS King homo. I am in the middle of the weldon pump controller install, so if any one has any info on how they wired theirs I would apreciate it.
Aleks
