Question Vortech YS-trim ???

>Does anyone here run a YS-trim on their 4th gen ?
I'm debating on selling the T-trim and buying a YS-trim as long as all the everything hooks up properly .

If you do a search, this question was just asked like 2 weeks ago.

I think there is some modifications that need to be made, but it's not extensive.

I would be interested in buying your T-Trim from you if you decide to sell it.
Thanks
Scott

I would be interested in it either way. Probably more so as a complete kit but I could work something out either way. Shoot me some starting prices and we will see if we can meet on something.
Thanks
Scott

hey andre,

give vortech a call. their tech dept. should be able to answer all your questions. (you might need a different bracket) I presume the head unit would be bigger on the YS

Well before you go slapping a YS trim on your car I would first invest in a 12 bolt rear end, a full suspension package, built tranny if you got auto or a serious clutch if you got stick, totally rebuilt block with massively ported heads. Honestly if you ever plan on driving your car the street dont get a YS its too much boost. It even says right on the compressor "For race use only". You dont want to get one just because you saw it in GMHTP do you? Now I know you can never have too much power but thats BS when you cant get it to hook up cause then your just wasting money.

You don't have to run the YS-trim full *****. Running one in the 10-12# range would be very streetable.

As for the "Race Use Only" how many other things for our cars have that...AFR210s, Draglites, skinny front tires, etc.

It's a "CYA" sticker(Cover Your @$$).

>12 bolt (Strange Engineering 12 bolt ) =got it , full rear suspension (BMR everything rear)= got it , serious clutch (SPEC stage 3 carbon) = got it , rebuilt block (Nu-tek motorsports 396)= got it , massivively ported heads (AFR 195)= got it , GMHPT =got that too .
If I need to redo the front suspension then I will have to wait .

Yes Dennis I plan out doing alot of people and keep this beast Massachusetts street legal .

when are you planning on having your car completed. how did you make out with the insurance inspector.

(im not sure if i can still get emission stickers) so i might have to put the cats, smog pump, air, etc back on...then cross my fingers to pass. i dont see why i would not. small blower cam, street legal afr heads. might have to turn the fuel pressure way down

hopefully ill be pulling her out of storage before the end of the month.
