Vortech Supercharger Question

I Was Wondering On Buying A Supercharger For My 2000 Ss , A4.. It Has About 1000 Miles On It And Is Only Selling For $2000.. Good Price? Also I Drive The Car Alot.. Its A Daily Driver.. The Car Has Over 60k Miles On It.. Good Idea?? And Installation?? Any Problems On Installing And How Hard Is It To Install? Give Me All The Details You Have On It.. I Dont Want To Rush Into Anything.. Thanks

I'm not too fond of Vortech's LS1 kit. I'd rather have a P1sc or a D1sc for that motor. Anyhow, for a daily driver you'd probably be happier with a head/cam swap, 400+ rwhp on an LS1 is very easy to accomplish, and you don't run as much risk of fragging a piston. Also with the blower you're going to need a better fuel pump and bigger injectors which will also factor into the cost. As for how hard it is to install... it's not that difficult, just time consuming since you have to move stuff around and do some prep work. You can download the instructions from Vortech's website if you really want to know what's involved.

Well the kit comes with everything ready to install but I was thinking the same on getting a head and cam instead.. Im in California.. Whats the restrictions out here and can anyone give me a good set at a good price like a website or something? And again installation prices?
