Vortech rebuild

I think I found the source of the oil in my intake, the bearing on the impeller shaft. I called Vortech to get a rebuild kit. They don't sell them, they will rebuild it for $325. For an hour of work and four bearings. Not outrageous but I would rather do it myself. I asked him if he knew if I could buy the bearings somewhere. He said "No! I would never authorize you to do that." Ha ha ha. The guy was rude from the start though. Anyway, has anyone found the bearings somewhere and done it themselves?

Yea, I'll look around for the bearings and post what I find out.

Sorry for the source, but this is probably the best information out there.

The prices are from Applied Industrial Technologies. The part number is what they listed on the Mustang website for an S-Trim.

1 matched set bearings - SKF 7003CD/P4ADGA $275

Ha ha.

The two seals are about $3 each, and the other two bearings are $15 each. Doesn't sound so bad now just sending it to Vortech. Only way it would really be worthwhile doing it yourself is if you know the problem isn't the high speed, high dollar bearings on the impeller shaft.
