My feed hose has developed a leak where the end coupling swivels. Has anybody found a better replacement? Also what is the size for finding a replacement; the Vortech parts list says it's 1/4" X 49" long. Thanks.

 

I went to a hydraulic hose shop and had them make a feed line for me out of stainless braided hose. The fittings on both ends can be replaced individually if necessary and it works really well. I'll snap a pic when I get home and post it in my web shots page.

They use the same fittings that Vortech ships with their kit, I just took the old hose to the shop, and 15 minutes/$35 dollars later I walked out with a new hose. I didn't get a chance to snap a pic, mom took her camera with her this morning and I was out looking for replacement belts (I shredded mine a few days ago). I will definately grab her camera before she leaves in the morning and get a shot off or use my phone to get one, either way.

Yep, gonna have to wait till I can swipe mom's camera cause my camera phone just doesn't want to take a good close up pic of that line for some reason. She's been taking it to church everyday this week so she can take pictures of all the stuff they've been working on for their Easter play.

 

If anyone is still interested, I finally got my camera phone to take a decent picture of my feed line. It should be in the album in my sig.

 

Thanks for the photo Chris. I found a local shop called The Hose Pros, made me a hose identical to the Vortech supplied hose for $12. I believe the end fittings at -4AN female.
