rebuild kit in summit catalog


hey i called summit today and the guy said he could sub in some foged 9.5 CR pistons with this rebuild kit. he said that it would be about 80 bucks extra.

the downside is that the pistons are lightweight. he didnt give me an actual weight of the pistons though. im gonna call TRW/sealed power and find out what they are made of and exactly how much they weigh.

what do you guys think of going this route? it would make it easy getting it all in one kit.

The heavier piston will make the engine rev a little bit slower. Considering the weight of the rest of the rotating assembly, you shouldn't really notice. Only other effect is you may not be able to turn 7000 RPM with these pistons and the stock rods. They shouldn't really effect power output.
