UPDATE!! Fuel issue solved....dyno numbers @ 8psi

As per my previous thread I was running out of fuel at about 4400 rpm. Well the culprit was the fuel pump. Although it worked perfectly fine it didn't have the ***** to supply the fuel. Install the Racetronix pump kit and its ***** to the wall.

Mods in sig 8# ATI Charger

Peak HP 405 rwhp @ 5500 rpm
Peak TQ 444 ftlbs @ 4477 rpm

Air/fuel consistant 12.0's

Biggest advice for those who plan on supercharging their LT1

GET IT TUNED!!!!!!!

Awesome. Glad to see it was something simple and not having to change everything around and chase down gremlins... Like I said before, it didn't make sense that you were losing fuel pressure up top.. It was almost screaming to change the fuel pump..

GOod luck!

Dang, nice numbers. I have some questions for you if you don't mind.

Where did you get it tuned? From your sig, it looks like you are running the stock bottom end? What intercooler setup did you go with?

TIA

Tuned at Exotic Performance Plus....I HIGHLY recommend them for tunning. Located in Ft Wayne Indiana. Talk to Bob he is the owner and a great guy. They are a big sponsor on the LS1 forums. 260-483-9300.

This is a stock bottom end motor with a single 2 core intercooler being run.

Do you have any head porting or a cam in your car? Just curious...

If it is the ractronix kit you should have the Walbro 340 pump. That should provide the fuel. You used the complete install kit with new power wire to alt. correct? If so the pressure should be there. Your simptoms are identical to mine but you allready have my answer in place which was the pump. Perhaps the factory fuel regulator? You hold pressure with car off and what not correct? Fuel filter is new?

I have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. fuel holds nice when car is off. I have it set at 40psi at idle. I didnt use the harness. I orderd it though today. Would that be enough? I dont think I have the 340 I got it from thunderracing.com in the fuel system section I orderd the pump itself. fuel filter needs to be changed.. lol

If you don't have the 340 you ahve exactly the same 255. I had and its not enough. The harness with 10guage power wire is awesome. Let me know how it works out.

You can purchase the 340 from Racetronix I believe. It is actually what they call a modified 340. Not sure who else sells just the pump. I had to trim the inside of the factory bucket to get the original 255 to fit so this one slid right in. You will have to trim if you haven't allready. Nothing major though.
