Unable to track down odd noise from SC drive?
This is on a P600B W/ 12 Lb 12rib setup.
I have what almost sounds like a slight rod knock at idle, but it's something in the SC system. If I remove the belt the sound stops. All the bolts are tight; pulley is tight, no excessive play in the tensioner or head unit.
Anyone ever experience this? Could I have the tension too tight?

I had a similar problem with my Vortech V2 S-Trim a few weeks ago.
The SC ran great for two years and suddenly started making lots of noise.
I sent it to Vortech and they did a major rebuild. They told me the gears went out in the SC. They had it for about a week.
Fortunately, they honored the 3yr warranty and nulled out the $1089.00 cost of the rebuild. I got it back yesterday(they even paid the freight) and reinstalled it. Runs better than ever now.
Vortech's quick warranty repair was impressive.
I don't know what ATI will charge for a rebuild but it probably won't be cheap.
Good Luck.

Thank you for the reply. I hope your wrong. I've got no funds right now and would rather replace it with a bigger unit then fix that thing.
It has less then 1,000 miles on it since ATI checked it out when I bought it, and I shift at 6200.
It would not be a good thing if I hurt it!
