Turbos rock!!! (had to tell someone!)

Ok.. had to tell someone, and most all my buds are out of town or at work!!

Homemade turbo system finally shows a glimmer of potential!!

I finally got off my duff and put some working wastegate actuators on the turbos, and rerouted all the vacuum lines back to the intake to get a more accurate reading on the boost.

Result? 12.4 psi at 4500 rpm, and rock solid past that. I can also now hear the BOV when I get off the gas, and it is LOUD!!!
Oh, and the 31 x 16.5 Hoosiers broke loose hitting second, very cool!!! Sideways even...

All this, and I still have one turbo with tight bearings that I don't think is helping much, and a 4500 stall in it, that will be getting changed out this weekend to a 3400. Hopefully I can lower the boost a touch, I think 12 is a bit much for the ol' LT1, even intercooled. I'll pull a couple plugs when it cools down.

Ambient air temp 92, engine temp after all the abuse, 184.. so far so good!!

Now to get that turbo rebuilt, and the piping/headers coated, and some fuel curve tuning (55 psi on the guage, via Aeromotive regulator).. it never ends

But it ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!

Still have a ways to go to get it ready for cruisin' or dyno, or track.. I am finishing up installing the new converter, and blocking the PCV valve (wow! Lots of oil outta breathers... boost is kewl )

I'll spend the next few days getting a little better tune on the DFI, and then rip it all apart to send the headers and pipes out for coating.. then we'll talk about dyno's!

Feels a wee-bit stronger than the 100 shot that used to be on it... may have to reinstall that too!
