Yes they can make power, but they usually have higher exhaust backpressure due to design. Possibly a larger A/R turbine housing can negate some of this effect.

Re: Turbolocity Twin LT1 kit

Well, I talked with Brad from turbolocity, and it seems this the the only one that they ever made. So I am not going to see someone else with it. Only one LT1 and one LS1 kit were ever made. I wish there were more Turbo V8's out there. Especially LT1's and LS1's.

I meant other turbo V-8's, not necessarily from Turbolocity

Re: Turbolocity Twin LT1 kit

Yep, only one other Tubolocity kit out there for Camaro's and it is me. Unfortunately they did not resolve all the bugs before giving the cars back. I still have a small oil leak left to fix in one of the lines and some rubbing issues with the front swaybar hitting the tubes from the turbos to the intercooler. The car is wild when everything is working right.

Well, good to hear from you. I assume you have the LS1 kit. What kind of numbers did you put down?

Re: Turbolocity Twin LT1 kit

The car made 419 rear wheel hp and 470 lb feet of torque. The quarter mile times have been very low 12's at 117-120 mph. Pretty good for the rest of the motor and drive train being stock with all season tires. Some drag radial and sub frame connectors should put the car in the 11's. Unfortunately, I think I hurt the motor racing this weekend as the car has developed a loud "tick" and is throwing a misfire code.

Thought that first pic was of one of those gimmick electric superchargers you see in the back of mags.. Are logs better than what appears to be modified manifolds?

I thought I would update this thread a little. The build is taking its sweet time, lol. Well, I have the Turbos, the turbo kit and now the motor. A little over 4 years later, but I am making some progress. I'll get this done eventually, lol.

Here are some pics of my brother and I picking up the motor. It was almost a 2 year wait on the damn motor, so that is part of what has taken so long.

I took some pics of the intake since it is the first Edelbrock LT4 intake that I have seen in person.
