Turbo technologys LS1 turbo kits any good?

I want to purchase a turbo kit for my 01 SS, I want the ls1motorsports kit but its a little pricey but I just came across turbo technologys kit on www.detroitspeedworks.com and they offer it for 4 grand I think thats without injectors and pump though. What can you all tell me about this kit? Those who have it what kind of power did you make and how do you like it?

Thanks in advance

Had this kit on an LT1... Stay far far away from it!

If your looking for ONLY 100 Hp out of this kit, and NEVER ANY MORE than it may be ok. The piping is way to small and results in very high backpressure when trying to make more power out of it.

Supposedly the new kits have quite a few improvements over the old ones. The race LS1 kit is totally different.

Great, but it still uses the log and small piping, follow the link, it's not the race system.

with the upgrades now available, you can expect to make about 600rw on their street kit w/ the appropriate engine, anything more than that should get the race kit.

Who's made 600rwhp with a TT kit? Even with all of the upgrades, I still thought that nobody had been able to reach 600rwhp yet. Even with built engines.

I'm not saying that they haven't, or they can't, just that I personally hadn't heard of anyone doing it yet. If so, I was curious as to who has.

What are these upgrades? Regardless your flowing all 8 cylinders exhaust thru a 2.5 inch log. Not ideal at all! Wastegate position doesn't vent all 8 cylinders and may lead to exhaust flowing backwards away from the turbo toward the gate, the gate itself is not large enough to support 600 Hp, a racegate will need to be put in which requires cutting off the deltagate flanges and welding in new flanges, the intercooler position SUCKS, airflow is very poor thru the radiator, and I'm sure thru the IC. Need I go on?

Go ahead buy the kit, but say i didn't tell you so. I bought the kit new for a little less than $4K, and I dumped probably another $4K into it trying to get it to perform better. It was all wasted money!

Just trying to help someone else not make the same mistake!

I'm NOT interested in his "clientelle". I'm only interested in accurate public statements, as you said you are. YOU stated that one can expect to make 600rwhp with the TT kit., not George.
I think everyone would like to know what this is based on. After all, you had George's kit originally and I don't think you ever even made 500rwhp with upgrades, did you?

correct i had his kit in its original form, and i'm just relaying the output info onto here directly from george, just a messenger.

best i got out of the kit was 450rw at 8psi, but i was trying not to push things with the 60mm and stock motor.
