Turbo LT1 Up and Running

A big upgrade over my D1sc Procharger. I used all scrap stainless/aluminum to build this setup. At the heart of it is a master power T70. The megasquirt system is VERY turbo friendly with it's 4 bar map sensor and on-board boost controller. The .96 a/r exhaust housing provides pretty good response with good top end power. I should have it at the dyno shop sometime this month.

Low profile intake tubing

4" intake with turbo mounted in the same area as the D1sc

Megasquirt Based ECU mounted

Comments/Suggestions welcome.

Thanks, DIY FTW.

I wish I had build pics, but I'll get some close ups.

master power T70,
two passenger side manifolds one turned around,
4340 H rods/crank
JE pistons 8.8:1 CR
reworked stock LT1 heads that flow about what LT4s do
setup for 10 PSI (more boost to come once I get bigger injectors I'm thinking 70# range)
Stock fans/radiator, A/C still blows nice and cold

Are those custom JEs? or are you running a 6" rod?

355
Eagle rods/crank
And yes I had to clear the block a little. I wanted to keep all the stock accessories and came to the conclusion that the s400 was too big. I know alot of boat guys in the area that use eagle stuff on 1400 HP big blocks and the failure rate seems to be the same as "better" brands.

Shop around, I did most of mine one ebay. I did my whole setup for $1300 ish minus the motor and PowerLT1 ECU.

I used the stock crossover and just modified it to fit, I'll try to get some pics this weekend. Turbo systems have so much back pressure I didn't see a point in building headers for my setup.

I'm running 42# right now I'll upgrade to some nice low impedance injectors soon since the MS based system can drive them without any modification. The MS system is awesome, way more bang for the buck than any other system, plus its the only complete PNP setup that I know of for LT1 cars.
